Hello Everyone, my name is Michael Dunlop and I run a few very successful websites including IncomeDiary, http://www.Retireat21.com  and http://www.WebDesignDev.com . The main aim of my websites is to teach people to come online and start earning a living from it. Everyone seems to just give the same content so what I do is give away all the secrets the GURU’s wouldn’t even want you to know and then throw in some great daily inspiration to make sure you want to keep at it because sometimes it can be hard to get going.

What was your first experience of social media?

A reader of mine around a year ago said “Hey Michael, are you on Twitter” now a year later I have over 50,000 combined followers. I didn’t quite understand it but when it started to make me a lot of money, I got very interested.

What do advertisers do that you wish they wouldn’t?

Think inside the box, if you do what everyone else does then your just going to get the same results. Think outside the box and try get more out of people, we will give, just ask!

What do bloggers do that you wish they wouldn’t?

Give no value and clearly have no passion for they write about. I can’t stress enough how important it is to make sure you enjoy what you are doing and bring that across in your writing style.

Where do you see growth in the social media field?

Every time I get interviewed I get a question like this, I just take every day as it comes.

What new ideas are advertisers coming up with to take advantage of new trends?

A lot of people ask for personal recommendations and pay for them, although this is great for the advertiser it isn’t a fair recommendation. I think all advertisers should work closely with the publisher to get better results, everyone just emails the advert and I never hear from them again. Make a effort to do better things and try out new ideas.

What do you do to improve the world?

Smile every time someone walks past me.

What do you do that is green?

Cycle… I love to mountain bike and lately try not to use the car at all.

What is one thing about you that not many people know?

I accidently took a piece of lego from school home with me 14 years ago and felt guilty about it ever since. ( I still have it 😉 )

How do you prefer to communicate?

Face to face… I love to get away from the PC as much as possible.

What is one thing people can do for you?

Be a better person, everyones always interesting in getting one over someone or making someone look bad. Just consentrate on yourself and your life will get better.
