Tell me about your Blogs?

Kim’s Shopping Blog – http://Blog.ShoppingBookmarks.com  – This blog compliments my first and favorite site – http://www.ShoppingBookmarks.com. I write about saving money, using coupons, shopping sprees, product reviews and whatever fancies me at the moment.

http://www.ShoeaholicsAnonymous.com  – I’ve always had a love for shoes so started a site for fellow shoe addicts where I blog about shoe sales, shoe reviews, etc. I, of course, am the self-appointed President for Shoeaholics Anonymous.

http://www.HouseForKim.com – I originally started this blog three years ago when I was building my dream home. I had a tag line like “Kim’s journey to build a new house and find a man to help share it.” Needless to say my house is now built, and despite a few marriage proposals, just the kids and I call this place home.

http://www.WorkInMyPajamas.com  – I have gotten a ton of emails and phone calls from people “wanting to do what I do” so I originally started this blog to tell people about affiliate marketing and working from home to point the inquiries there.

What was your first blog?

My first site (before they were called blogs) was http://www.PreemieTwins.com  which I started back in 1998 on a free tripod site. I have since converted all the content into the WordPress platform, which I for most of my sites now.

What is the biggest tip you would give to a newbie blogger?

Pick a subject that you are passionate and knowledgeable about. Then just start writing everything you know on that subject.

What’s one thing that do you do to improve the world?

I am a Past-President and current Board member of our local Kiwanis Chapter. Our motto is “Serving the Children of the World.”

What do you do that is green?

I do recycle aluminum cans?! Considering I drink copious amounts of Diet Dew, it’s a start.

What is one thing about you that not many people know?

I have a tattoo that not many have seen.

What’s your favourite book?

I’m a big fan of “The Secret” – Whenever I feel like the Law of Attraction isn’t working in my favor, I reread that book.

What is on your iPod?

I’d have to ask my daughters as they’ve confiscated it from me. I keep saying I’m going to steal it back and download more http://www.Geekcast.fm  podcasts to listen to while I run.

I’ve attended every Affiliate Summit since its inception and try to hit some other related shows during the year such as Ad:Tech, Search EngineStrategies, ShareASale Think Tank, BlogWorld, etc.
