Tell me about your Blog?

My blog is where I post anything and most everything. It’s my fake newspaper (The Pine Cone Sandspur), it’s my update site, it’s a compositional tool, it’s an introduction to Tim Moore! I have several of them http://redneckraprocksongs.blogspot.com (updates, new writings, explanations), http://tatoetry.xanga.com (music and updates) http://myspace.com/trecords0 (music and plain stuff), http://myopera.com/trecords0 (I’m new to it, so there’s not much there)

Hey everyone, if you want to know what’s happening in my world go to RedNeckRapSongs to find out!

Tell me about your company?

In the past 14 years I have owned or been partners in 4 record companies. Rockoetry Inc and Tatoetry Inc. are the latest incarnations of my record company and publishing company. Although I do record music (I’m mainly a percussionist and composer), I do write poetry and short stories. Tatoetry Inc. covers that part of my talents. I have been writing for over 25 years and I’m just getting into the publishing game. I’ve been around the music business for about 20 years and I have sold albums across the U.S., Europe, and Japan. I’m not well known yet, so I’m always looking for exposure in one form or another.

What was your first blog?

What is the biggest tip you would give to a newbie blogger?

Be really creative in your thinking. No one is out there actively seeking to read interesting blogs, so one has to figure a way around that. Hint: search engines are one way around remaining anonymous.

What do advertisers do that you wish they wouldn’t?

They try to sell me ways to make money. I already know how money is made: by hard work on a job well done.

What do bloggers do that you wish they wouldn’t?

Misspelling, and grammar. I understand that people speak in the vernacular, but don’t cram it down our throats that you’re white trying to be black, or have no education. Education is one of my biggest issues. Everyone is entitled to one, and if you can’t get it from public school, then go to the library and get it. You don’t have to have a degree to be educated. You have to have the basics of knowing how to learn, and how to decipher what the best information is.

Where do you see growth in the blogging field?

Like I said, I’m new to the whole blogging idea. I’m certain of one thing though: SEO. If you have a chance to tag your blogs, make it creative.

What do you do to improve the world?

I create options for entertainment that the mainstream entertainment industry won’t allow, or hasn’t caught on to yet. This is your world. Create it, live it, experience it. Nothing is better than yours! Own it.

What do you do that is green?

I live close to work. I walk when it is feasible. I eat at home. I use energy efficient lights and natural gas as much as possible.

What is one thing about you that not many people know?

I’m dedicated to my cause: Get the word out!

What’s your favorite book?

I have a lot of favorites, Kurt Vonnegut writings are gorgeous. But the one that comes to my mind at this time is Richard Brautigans In Watermelon Sugar. It is timeless, representative of culture, religion, life, and it is vauge. It speaks on many different levels all at once. That is what I aim to do in my writing. The Bible is THE BOOK because of those things.

What is on your iPod?

Stravinsky, Ravel, Copeland, Rush, and there might be some Moore.

What are your contact details (email, company, blog, facebook, myspace, forums, etc)?

Email: [email protected] , Company Email: [email protected] , Blog: http://redneckraprocksongs.blogspot.com , Facebook: http://facebook.com/timothydm , Myspace: http://myspace.com/trecords0

What events do you go to?

Local shows of local bands, local art showings, premiers of local works.

How do you prefer to communicate?

With words. Grunting is nice, but words are precise. Give me a call EST Normal business hours 386.717.6170.

Who would you recommend, and why?

Frank Zappa (conceptual continuity), Captain Beefheart (so different), Harry Partch (different thinker), Stephen Hawking (current brainiack), Maurice Ravel (orchestrational genius), Barbara Kingsolver (palindromes), Richard Brautigan (created a new genre dubbed Brautigans), Travel (it opens your mind), Yourself (explore, be open minded, it does not cost you anything)

What is one thing people can do for you?

Buy my products! (Just kidding) Think for yourself, don’t let government or a corporation do it for you. Register to vote. Support an original artist not a corporate conglomerate.
