Eco Education, Green Generations, Eco Education Green Generations Fundraiser with Green Drinks in San Francisco

Green Drinks is an International networking group for Green professionals. San Francisco Green Drinks (SFGD) is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization for green networking, education and volunteer events in San Francisco.

Later this month, Green Drinks will host a fantastic fundraiser called Green Generations to raise funding for established organizations that provide environmental education to underserved children. This is a great event that will raise critical money for organizations that rely on contributions who need all the support they can get during the economic crisis- not to mention recent California education budget cuts that will leave many schools without funds for environmental education options.

And the people at Green Drinks events are just fun to be around. It’s a great opportunity to meet like-minded green professionals and support an important cause. And you get to party at Temple Nightclub, one of the greenest clubs in the United States.

When: Friday, August 14, 2009, 5 – 9 pm

Where: Temple Nightclub, 540 Howard St, San Francisco, CA, 94105

Cost: $12 in advance, $15 at the door

Advanced Ticket Sales: Online at BrownPaperTickets.com OR Call 1-800-838-3006 and ask for “SFGD Green Generations” tickets.

“By supporting eco-education for children in need, we are helping to ensure that environmental awareness is carried forward to future generations,” said Missi Hirt, board member of SFGD. “The gala is a special opportunity for the green community to unite under one roof and support an enduring educational cause.”

If you are in San Francisco on August 14, Green Generations is an event that is well-worth your time and money.
