An Interview with Kevin De Vincenzi of XY7 Affiliate Network

Tell me about your company?

XY7 Was started by me in 2003 out of a need to protect publishers and make sure they were treated fairly by advertisers.

How did you get into affiliate marketing?

I was a Super Affiliate in the email game since 1997 and at the same time formed a group of other mailers I managed and negotiated deals and payouts for it just came natural to then parlay that into a Affiliate Network.

What is your biggest challenge now affiliate marketing?

Managing the 100’s of applications that come in daily. Website magazine just ranked us the 4th out of 50 in “Top Affiliate Networks” 🙂

What are the main things merchants do that you wish they wouldn’t?

Think that they can bully Affiliates as they have the offer.
We are very strong contractually so that us and our Affiliates always get a fair shake.
We are the only network that pays even if we do not get paid…..Been that way since day one.

What are the main things affiliates do that you wish they wouldn’t?

Not follow the rules laid on on each campaign, creating problems for the people that do as well.

Where do you see growth in the affiliate field?

Mobile Marketing is the next wave Grab your surfboard it is about to come crashing in!

What new ideas are advertisers coming up with to take advantage of new traffic sources?

Social traffic is now the new buzz word. Smart advertisers work on hyper targeting and right pricing the traffic so it makes sense for all.

What do you do to improve the world?

Not enough. I do give generously to many children foundations including a toy drive we have done 10 yrs straight. I am also workign with the city of Las Vegas on a new concept to get homeless people off the street, working and productive.

What do you do that is green?

When we moved into our new building we changed out all the lighting to energy efficient lighting. I have also done that in my home as well.

What is one thing about you that not many people know?

I started from nothing 12 yrs ago….literally no home, no Job, no Money. Determination is an amazing thing.

Couple of e books from audible.com and a compilation of music from many genres.
