Tell me about your Blog?

This blog came about because I wanted to contribute to the sport that has given me so much. I started out reading as much on rugby as I could on Goffon Rugby, Planet Rugby and a few other blogs. I was always disappointed that there was very little to read about Women’s Rugby. So I began this blog on March 31, 2006 and haven’t stopped blogging since. I love the friends, networking and adventures I have been on while doing it, and look forward to the next adventure on or off the pitch!

Where do you see growth in the blogging field?

Obscure sports like rugby, cricket etc are finding a real following because quality blogs are popping up all over the place. If you can give your readers quick access to scores, pictures and videos they will keep coming back to you.

What do you do to improve the world?

I don’t know about improving the world, but I am trying to make sure that women’s rugby has a voice. Everywhere you look there is support for men’s sports and sometimes women’s sports aren’t even mentioned! My blog is a place where everyone (including men) can visit to hear about recent women’s rugby events, learn about rugby, build a community and so much more.

What’s your favorite book?

My favorite book is The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom. It is a powerful story of perseverance, bravery and courage during WW2.

What is on your iPod?

I don’t update my iPod that much so there is some Avril Lavinge, Counting Crows, Melissa Ferrick, Nsync, Sugarland…random I know!

What events do you go to?

I try to attend any and all rugby events that I can afford to go to. I am always looking for a new way to expose rugby and traveling around the country is the best way to do that!

I prefer email.
