Mom bloggers are a top niche in blogging and companies like Walmart, Lifetime Channel, Frito Lay are utilizing their skills, the affiliate world needs to take notice too.

The session is named MommyBloggers: Changing the Face of Affiliate Marketing? and will be held Sunday, January 17th 1:30 – 2:30 PM. It is Session 2B and located in Brasilia 6. The panelists are

Deborah Carney, CEO, Team Loxly (Twitter @loxly) (Moderator)
Wendy Limauge, Blogger, Sweeties Swag (Twitter @sweetiesswag)
Carrie Rocha, President, Pocket Your Dollars (Twitter @dollarspocket)
Kim Rowley, President, Key Internet Marketing, Inc. (Twitter @kimarketing)
Heather Sokol, Proprietor, Inexpensively (Twitter @justheather)

Wendy Limauge wrote an extended bio about herself on her website, The Mom Bloggers Network, which assists women (and men) to become bloggers from start to finish, including topics on SEO and how to earn money blogging.

Affiliate marketing and mom bloggers is not a new topic to those of us already doing it, but for some of those in affiliate marketing, we need more acknowledgment. Remember that Mom Bloggers are professionals, are working to earn money, are getting respect from advertisers and are here to stay. The next step for many of us to monetize our blogs is to use Affiliate Marketing.

  • I saw this was on the schedule when I was skimming through Feed Front last night. Looking forward to hearing about what comes out of this session.

  • Thanks for this Murray! This is a great group of women with lots of info to share. Both merchants interested in working with Mom Bloggers and Mom Bloggers that want to learn what other bloggers are doing will get value from attending.

  • Thanks for the props Murray! I hope my site becomes a bridge between mom bloggers and the affiliate marketing world. We need more reliable affiliate programs to promote to our readers. Too many offers that we know about just don’t match our demographics or aren’t solid enough to promote.

Not only am I there to speak I am also going to the Summit to learn. Affiliate marketing only makes up about 30% of my income and I know there is much more out there that I can take advantage of. And, whatever I learn I will bring back to my readers and teach them as well so give me all you’ve got! 🙂

I hope we get to meet up at the Summit too. I will be the “mom blogger” with the dazed and confused look on her face. You can’t miss me. I look just like my profile pic.

  • Wendy, I’m sure that you’ll have a good time at ASW, especially if you have a mentor. Look forward to meeting you there.
