Rasim Adjiasmanov of Hackcorp an interview

Rasim Adjiasmanov

Tell me about yourself?

My name is Rasim Adjiasmanov and I have been making money online for about 5 years. I had a lot of interest in web development since I was a kid and after graduating with Business Administration degree I went back to school for Computer Information Systems. I manage a small development team now and create websites for fun and money.

How did you get into affiliate marketing?

I had a few websites that made some adsense money when I started to read forums and blogs of other people making money in affiliate marketing. I decided to experiment and created a review page on my movie blog for netflix and blockbuster. I didn’t have anything to lose since even if I would not have gotten any leads, I was still getting more traffic to my blog. To my own surprise, my first campaign was getting 300-400% return and that got me started.

What was your biggest challenge getting into affiliate marketing?

Getting cheap and quality traffic was and still is the biggest challenge for me.

What are the main things merchants do that you wish they wouldn’t?

Merchants are different but I wish some didn’t personalize creatives with direct contact information and drop the lifetime of the cookies.

What are the main things affiliates do that you wish they wouldn’t?

I would say providing false information for an extra dollar that eventually gives a bad name to the whole industry.

Where do you see growth in the affiliate field?

I think that we will see more growth in local and international markets as well as mobile market this year.

What do you do to improve the world?

I try to donate to charities, local church and support foster kids when I can.

What is one thing about you that not many people know?

I have 2 kids and try to be the best dad for them.

What is on your iPod?

All kinds of Russian music, Pink Floyd and classic 70’s – 80’s songs.

What’s your favourite book?

Get rich quick. Just kidding… I don’t have one, but used to love Russian classics like Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Pushkin. Haven’t read anything besides programming, seo, affiliate and other computer books in a long time though.

What are your contact details (email, company, blog, facebook, myspace, forums etc) ?

I just started to blog a little over a month ago. You can visit it at http://www.hackcorp.com

As for contacting me, twitter would probably be the best – @tatrasim.

What events do you go to?

I attend local web/mobile development events and just got back from Affiliate Summit West 2010. I loved it and hope that I will start attending more of the national events. I am hoping the next one to be Affiliate Summit East 2010.

Thank you!
