Kristi West

Tell me about your Blog –

My blog Spend Less And Save More is a place to help readers learn how to spend less on the things they purchase everyday and gain insightful information on how to save money.  Readers can find printable coupons, weekly grocery store match ups, online deals, tips & tutorials as well as giveaways. It is a great site to find ways to spend less & save more!

What was your first blog?

This is my first blog.

What is the biggest tip you would give to product reviewers?

To be honest about their experience with the product, even if they didn’t like the product. Companies need honest feedback!

Are you contacted by advertisers or do you contact them or both?

A little of both. I have been contacted by a number of advertisers, but am pretty picky. I will not advertise something that I wouldn’t try myself.  If there is a particular company that I would like to deal with, I will contact them.

What is your favorite product that you have reviewed?

I have to say that I really loved the product review I did on Boiron’s Childrens Chestal Homeopathic Cough Syrup. The company sent me a box of their Homeopathic products to test out & this one scored high marks for me. My kids usually fight me when they have to take cough meds & this one they took without a fuss. This is a product I probably wouldn’t have tried had it not been for the review process.  Although it is pricey, it is now a staple in my medicine arsenal!

What do advertisers do that you wish they wouldn’t/ do that you like?

The only advertiser that seems to bother me is Google Adsense because they will run the same ad for too long. My readers want variety and don’t want to return to my page seeing the same ad running for weeks on end.

What do bloggers do that you wish they wouldn’t/do that you like?

I love when my readers comment & ask questions. Part of  what I love about blogging is feeling connected to my readers. I appreciate feedback and welcome any and all comments!

What advertiser would you like to work with given a chance?

Target. I absolutely love this store and post weekly about the deals that I find there.

Where do you see growth in the blogging field?

Bargain Blogging has really taken off as well as Foodie Blogs. In this economy, people are looking for ways to save and since the beginning of 2010, I have seen a huge increase in traffic to my own site and see new bargain blogs starting every day.  People are also starting to cook more to save money & foodie blogs are a great source for recipes.

What is one thing about you that not many people know?

That I am a former High School English Teacher

What’s your favorite book?

Eat, Pray, Lovey Elizabeth Gilbert really speaks to me, but I’d have to say that Kaye Gibbons’ A Virtuous Woman is my all time favorite.

What is on your iPod?

Black Eyed Peas, Rhianna, Maroon Five, anything with a good beat
